Approaching the canvas, he creates with the stealth, speed, and hunger of a cheetah stalking prey. Artful as he hunts for what lurks under the brush, behind the hill, and in the branches of trees, his craft is one of expression. Creative feline ripping through the Skin of what is beautiful, true and good, craving the Marrow, which is carnal, essential and real. Drawn in awe of skillful chase, still I tremble in fear, anticipating carnage to come. Colors and images left by paintbrush gashes express gnawing pain. Slowly, I back away from the reach of razor-sharp claws and gnashing teeth. Never disturb a wild animal while he is painting.
